In today’s workplace, fostering inclusion and understanding is essential for ensuring all members feel safe and respected. Our workshops on antisemitism are designed to empower union boards, leadership, staff and membership with the knowledge and tools to recognize, address, and combat this deeply rooted form of hatred to help build solidarity and inclusivity across diverse workplaces and communities.
Through interactive sessions tailored to union contexts, participants explore the historical and modern realities of antisemitism, its impact on individuals and workplaces, and how it manifests today—from age-old myths and stereotypes to modern-day hate.

ANTISEMITISM: THEN AND NOW

This engaging 75-minute workshop offers community groups the chance to explore the historical and modern realities of antisemitism and its impact on individuals and Canadian society.

Participants examine antisemitism’s evolution over centuries—often called “the world’s oldest hatred”—and its persistence in modern forms. The workshop highlights how harmful historical narratives continue to marginalize Jewish communities today.

The workshop focuses on the Canadian context, exploring the challenges Jewish workers face, and how antisemitic stereotypes can affect workplace dynamics. Participants will learn practical strategies for allyship, empowering them to challenge antisemitism, foster inclusion, and create workplaces where all voices are valued.

Whether you’re a union leader seeking to strengthen workplace equity or a member aiming to foster solidarity among colleagues, this workshop provides actionable insights for creating a more inclusive and equitable workplace environment.
