In keeping with its long-established leadership in the field of Holocaust education, FSWC hosts an annual conference devoted to this subject. Featuring specialists from Canada and abroad, each FSWC’s National Conference examines a range of topics pertaining to the teaching of Nazi Germany’s genocidal campaign against European Jews. Informative presentations and lively panel discussions provide insight on best practices in preserving the memory and illuminating the lessons of the Holocaust through effective education for present and future generations.
Originally an in-person event that FSWC hosted in Toronto in recognition of International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27th, the National Conference on Holocaust Education became an online initiative during the Covid-19 pandemic. Whether virtual or in-person, speakers, including Holocaust survivors, share their experiences, knowledge and recommendations in connection with Holocaust education with an audience of educators, police and community members.
