March 21 is International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. A great way to examine how hate can quickly spread throughout society is to inspect media from different historical periods. Propaganda is a powerful tool used by many powerful entities, including governments, to spread their messages. Below are two examples one could use to unpack in a classroom, showcasing how these posters were trying to instill fear of specific groups of people. Give students the tools they need to identify bias in the media they consume by booking a free workshop through FSWC to teach about media literacy.
