Understanding the Impact

Hearing from a Holocaust survivor or a descendant provides a personal insight into the human cost of unchecked hatred. This workshop provides a unique opportunity to meet a Holocaust survivor or a descendant, hear their powerful testimony, ask questions and gain a deeper appreciation of the Holocaust's impact on individuals and communities.

Whether conducted virtually or in person, this experience fosters empathy, raises awareness and inspires a commitment to combating intolerance in all its forms within the workplace and beyond.

EMPATHY
THROUGH HISTORY

This workshop is designed for professionals at all levels, including leaders, managers, HR personnel and diversity and inclusion officers. It encourages reflection on the critical importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace, inspiring attendees to become advocates for respect, understanding and human dignity. Additionally, the workshop serves as a platform for meaningful dialogue and learning about the Holocaust, emphasizing its relevance in today’s world.

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

The workshop begins with a brief overview of the Holocaust and its historical significance, followed by an introduction to a Holocaust survivor, including their background and personal experiences. The survivor then shares their compelling story, detailing life before, during and after the Holocaust, emphasizing themes of resilience, survival and the importance of preserving history. Participants engage in an interactive Q&A session, where they can ask the survivor questions about their experiences and reflections. This session fosters open and respectful dialogue, deepening participants' understanding of and connection to the survivor's narrative. Discussions also explore the relevance of Holocaust lessons in addressing contemporary issues of hatred and intolerance.
