Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center is expressing concern and condemnation regarding numerous hate incidents that occurred this week in Canada.

According to reports from this week, NDP signs were found vandalized with swastikas and crude language in Edmonton; a mosque in Quebec received a disturbing letter; and a group of far-right protesters looking to spread anti-Muslim messages made its way to downtown Toronto over the weekend but was met with anti-racism protesters.

FSWC continues to support anti-hate legislation, including one recently introduced by MPP Roman Baber at Queen’s Park, and calls for additional legislation to help counter the rise in hate incidents across the country.
