Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) stands with the State of Israel as it faces a barrage of rocket attacks today from Gaza and is calling on the international community, including leaders in Canada and Europe, to condemn terror groups in Gaza and their violent crimes against innocent Israeli civilians.

According to reports, more than 300 rockets have been launched from Gaza into Israel since Tuesday morning. Dozens of rockets have been intercepted by the Iron Dome, while half of the rockets have reportedly landed in open areas.

“Thankfully, no deaths have been reported in Israel, but this does not mean that the international community should not be outraged by the attacks and condemn terror groups like Hamas and Islamic Jihad for their violent crimes,” said FSWC president and CEO Avi Benlolo. “Terrorist organizations surround Israel and use their enclaves, such as Gaza, to attack Israel and its civilians. It’s time for Canada and countries in Europe to stop funding the UNRWA until the UN can guarantee that funds are not going toward supporting terrorist activities.”
