Misfired Rockets May Have Killed Over a Dozen in Gaza Battle

Close to one-third of the Palestinians who died in the latest outbreak of violence between Israel and Gaza militants may have been killed by errant rockets fired by the Palestinian side, according to an Israeli military assessment that appears consistent with independent reporting by The Associated Press. Israel additionally said it killed at least 20 terror group militants and that militants fired about 1,100 rockets, with about 200 landing inside the Palestinian enclave.

UN Investigator Apologizes for Jewish Lobby Remark

A member of the UN Human Rights Council Commission of Inquiry on Israel apologized last week for his comment that social media was largely controlled by the Jewish lobby, and emphasized that he had not meant to question Israel’s status as one of the organization’s 193 member states.

"An apology does not take away from the fact that the UN Human Rights Council Commission of Inquiry on Israel is inherently biased and needs to be dissolved. We commend the 18 nations that denounced the investigator's antisemitic remarks and anti-Israel bias," FSWC stated in an online post.
