Canada's Defence Minister Meets with FSWC, Commits to Reforms to Confront White Supremacy and Extremism in the Armed Forces

During a Zoom meeting today with Rabbi Meyer H. May, Executive Director of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, and Jaime Kirzner-Roberts, Director of FSWC's Campaign Against Antisemitism, to discuss the organization's concerns over white supremacists and other extremists in the armed forces, the Honourable Harjit Sajjan, Minister of National Defence, expressed his commitment to reviewing the Canadian Armed Forces' procedures for responding to hate within its ranks and creating long-term reform to ensure there is zero tolerance for white supremacy or other forms of extremism in the military.

Israeli Shai Ohayon Stabbed to Death by Palestinian in Suspected Terror Attack

Rabbi Shai Ohayon, a father of four, was stabbed to death in a suspected terror attack outside the Tel Aviv suburb of Petah Tikva Wednesday afternoon. The Palestinian suspect was arrested near the scene shortly after the attack.

Merriam-Webster dictionary has removed Israel as an example for its definition of the word "apartheid." The dictionary's website used a sentence from a news article accusing Israel of apartheid in its "recent examples on the web."

First Israel-UAE Commercial Flight Scheduled for Next Week, U.S. Officials Say

U.S. officials announced Tuesday that the first commercial flight between Israel and the United Arab Emirates is scheduled for next week, carrying senior-level American and Israeli delegations to Abu Dhabi after the two countries agreed to normalize relations. The delegations will participate in talks to advance peace and normalization between Israel and the UAE.
