Community Gives Back to Afghan Refugee Families

Yesterday Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center, B’nai Brith Canada and The Neighbourhood Organization (TNO) came together to bring newly arrived Afghan refugee families brand-new laptops, winter hats and gloves and other essential items. It was truly heartwarming to witness the outpouring of emotion yesterday from the newcomer families who were supported by this initiative, especially the students who were so thrilled to receive their laptops, funded by generous donations from our Jewish community.

We are so grateful to everyone who supported this important initiative and building allyship between communities. Thank you to TNO and the Afghan Women's Organization for working with us over the last number of months for such an inspirational outcome.
