2. Woman Pledges Allegiance to ISIS After Arrest in Scarborough Knife Attack
A Toronto-areawoman who was arrested on Saturday following a store attack in Scarborough pledgedallegiance to ISIS in court yesterday. During her court appearance,she stated, "ISIS - I pledge to the leader of the believers - AbuBakr al-Baghdadi."
3. FSWC Denounces Antisemitic Graffiti on Mural in BC
Yesterday, FSWCdenounced antisemitic graffiti -which included a swastika and Hitler-type moustache drawn onto theface of an indigenous woman - that was found on a mural in Vernon, BritishColumbia.
4. Britain Heads to the Polls Tomorrow: Will They Elect Jeremy Corbyn?
As the British people head to the polls tomorrow to cast their ballots in this summer's surprise election in the United Kingdom, the question on everybody's mind is whether the British will support the Labour Party of Jeremy Corbyn. According to The Telegraph, Corbyn was condemned by his own party for attending a wreath-laying ceremony for a Palestinian terrorist who was involved in the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre.
5. Islamic State Attack in Tehran
In a short video posted byAmaq News Agency, the Islamic State stated it was behind the twinattacks on parliament and a mausoleum in Tehran that resulted in at least 12 deathsand dozens of injuries. This is the first time the Sunni extremist groupclaimed responsibility for an attack in Iran, a Shiite-ruled country.
6. Notre Dame Attacker Shouted 'This Is for Syria!' Before Being Shot Dead
During the brazendaylight attack on a French security officer yesterday outside of the famedCatholic Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the attacker - armed with a hammer - reportedly shouted, "This is forSyria." The attacker was quickly shot dead by French police.
7. FSWC at Work
After learning about the "Free Palestine" shirts that were being sold on sears.com, FSWC was quick to respond by sending a letter to Sears Canada Executive Chairman Brandon Stranzl and creating a petition - which has reached nearly 1000 signatures - to have the shirts removed from the website and to ensure they never appear on the website again. While the shirts are no longer available for purchase on sears.com, FSWC has learned they are still available on eBay and Amazon. We have reached out to the presidents of both companies and continue to monitor the websites to ensure the removal of the shirts.
