Montreal Police Hate Crime Unit Investigating Assault on Jewish Man

Montreal police are investigating after an elderly man holding a flag of Israel was assaulted by two men as he was walking from an Israel Independence Day rally last week. The incident took place in the City of Westmount, a Montreal suburb.

"We are incredibly disturbed to learn of this assault on a Jewish man carrying an Israeli flag," FSWC said in an online post. "Jews must have the freedom to celebrate their homeland without fear of intimidation and violence. We urge anyone with information to contact Montreal police so arrests can be made."

German Airline Apologizes for Excluding Jewish Passengers

German airline Lufthansa has apologized for refusing to let any members of a large group of Orthodox Jewish passengers onto a flight after some of them had refused to wear masks. “We regret that the large group was denied boarding rather than limiting it to the non-compliant guests,” the airline said.
