Shocking Rise of Antisemitism in Europe

FSWC is disheartened to learn of new shocking studies that warn of rising antisemitism. In a report, the Union of Jewish Students in France held a study that found that 53 per cent of respondents surveyed believed that Zionism is a Jewish conspiracy. Your Ward News Distributed in Forest Hill Area Again

The publishers of Your Ward News are once again targeting the Jewish community. Despite the fact that hate crime charges were laid against its publishers, the publication is still being posted online and being hand delivered in neighbourhoods. Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center has advised the Toronto Police of its most recent distribution and will continue to support the community, which is being harassed. The current edition promotes hate and intolerance toward individuals, politicians, women, the gay community and the Jewish community among others. It is openly antisemitic and provocative and must be immediately condemned by authorities.

Provide your support to Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center as we increase efforts in countering antisemitism, racism and other forms of hate in communities across Canada.

According to a report from Quebec's La Presse newspaper, hate speech on YouTube is creating revenue for hate groups – and Google's video service. La Presse raised the concern by citing the example of nativist vlogger Jean-François Gariépy who reportedly earns up to $1,000 per hour through sponsored posts in the comments section of his broadcasts alone. A Gariépy broadcast with white supremacist Richard Spencer reportedly earned the Quebecer $800 from the YouTube "Super Chats."
