Petition: FSWC Stands with Jewish Students at York University
FSWC is calling on its members and members of the Jewish community to send York University a message that Jewish students have the right to host events and study on campus free from violence, intimidation and hate. We are calling on the university to take immediate steps to combat antisemitism, including anti-Zionism, and stop the hostile environment Jewish students are experiencing.

York's Students Against Israeli Apartheid - the same student group that organized a protest against an on-campus event hosted by Jewish students - recently retweeted a video featuring a group of people waving the Palestinian flag while chanting about attacking Jewish people.
Court Ruling Against Ontario’s Student Fee Opt-Out Program
FSWC is concerned over the Ontario Superior Court of Justice Divisional Court’s recent ruling against Ontario’s Student Choice Initiative, a program that allowed students to opt out of student fees that go toward supporting student groups and services. “By not giving university students the option to opt out of fees funding certain groups and services, Jewish students are forced to fund the same groups that have been involved in anti-Israel, antisemitic activities that have targeted Jewish students and created a very unwelcoming environment,” said FSWC president and CEO Avi Benlolo.
Nazi Memorabilia Pulled from Auction in B.C.
Following pressure from the public, an antiques company in Richmond, B.C. removed Nazi memorabilia from its list of items up for bid ahead of its auction that took place on Saturday. Nazi memorabilia removed by Maynards Fine Art & Antiques reportedly included a Nazi flag, military and police helmets, navy hats, badges and pins.
Millionaire buys up Hitler items to keep them away from far-right
Lebanese businessman Abdallah Chatila purchased numerous items linked to Adolf Hitler, including a collapsible top hat sold for €50,000, at an auction in Munich last week and donated them to an Israeli foundation so the items "could not be used for the use of neo-Nazi propaganda."
Australia sees 30 per cent increase in antisemitic incidents
According to an annual report on antisemitism published by the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, there has been a 30 per cent increase in serious antisemitic incidents in Australia over the last year. There was a total of 225 attacks and 143 threats.
Led by high tech, Israeli exports to hit record of $114 billion in 2019
Government data revealed on Sunday that Israel's exports are expected to grow to a record $114 billion in 2019 from $109 billion last year. According to the Central Bureau and Statistics and Economy Ministry, the increase stems from a rise in services exports, with growth led by the high-tech sector.
