Ontario Investing $500K to Improve Holocaust Education
Ontario's Ministry of Education announced on Monday a $551,000 investment to bolster education about the Holocaust and antisemitism in schools, $150,000 of which will go to FSWC to expand workshops on historical and contemporary antisemitism for elementary and secondary school students.
FSWC Outraged by Canadian Government’s Refusal to Release Names of Nazis Canada Accepted as Immigrants After WWII
FSWC is appalled by the latest decision by Library and Archives Canada (LAC) to conceal the names of Nazi war criminals who immigrated to Canada after the Second World War. Following a series of stakeholder consultations, including with FSWC, LAC has refused to release Part II of Canada’s 1986 Commission of Inquiry on War Criminals, which includes the names of some 900 suspected Nazis and their collaborators.
Anti-Israel Protest at Montreal Synagogue Draws MPs' Condemnation
Liberal MPs Marc Miller, Anthony Housefather and Anna Gainey condemned a protest outside Shaar Hashomayim synagogue in Westmount on Tuesday evening as "disgusting." According to the Montreal police, about 40 anti-Israel protesters were holding a demonstration outside the synagogue.

Germany Arrests Suspected Members of Neo-Nazi Group Plotting Revolt
German police have arrested eight suspected members of a neo-Nazi militant group driven by racist ideology and conspiracy theories who had been training in warfare for the downfall of the modern German state. News of the arrests came amid a 450-strong police operation to dismantle the group, named by prosecutors as "Saechsische Separatisten", or Saxony Separatists, which has the abbreviation SS, the same as the Nazi party's elite militia.
