Man, Teen Charged After Shots Fired at Toronto Jewish Girls School

Toronto police arrested a 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old youth Thursday in connection with shots being fired at Bais Chaya Mushka, a Jewish girls elementary school. They now face several firearm-related charges.

Students Learn About Country's Troubled Past, Tour for Humanity Makes Stop in Kitchener

FSWC's Tour for Humanity mobile education centre visited a school in Kitchener, Ont. last week to teach students about Canada's human rights history with the goal of ensuring past wrongdoings aren't repeated. "All these different stories in our past are not meant to make these kids ashamed to be Canadian," said FSWC Tour for Humanity Director Daniella Lurion. "It's actually the opposite. It's meant to make us grateful for the rights and freedoms that we have here today."

Former Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar, Who Planned Oct. 7 Atrocities, Glorified on Streets of Canadian Cities

On Sunday, in Toronto, anti-Israel demonstrators openly celebrated the mastermind of the October 7 massacre in Israel, Yahya Sinwar, holding up signs that read, "He lived as a leader. He died as a soldier" and "From Malcolm X to Yahya Sinwar, Heros [sic] Become Legends and Legends Become Immortal." Anti-Israel activists in Montreal and Ottawa also took to the streets over the weekend to pay tribute to Sinwar.

Feds Won't Commit to Cutting Alleged Nazi Collaborators' Names from Victims of Communism Memorial

The Canadian government has yet to make a firm commitment to remove the names of alleged Nazi collaborators from the Victims of Communism memorial to be unveiled in downtown Ottawa. Earlier this month, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center urged Heritage Minister Pascale St-Onge to ensure that the names of more than 300 individuals with suspected ties to the Nazis aren’t put on the memorial.

From Swastikas to Shootings, Israel Releases Detailed Report on Canadian Antisemitism

In a rare move, the Israeli government has released a detailed report singling out Canada as a hotbed of antisemitism since the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel. Since the October 7 terrorist attacks, the report notes, antisemitism in Canada has increased by 670 per cent, with the targeting of Jewish places of worship, community centres and day schools.
