Allied Voices for Israel, Center for Israel and Jewish Affairs, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center, Hillel BC, Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver and StandWithUs Canada released a joint statement on Oct. 23 on “the sharp rise in antisemitic incidents” at the University of British Columbia, calling on the administration to take five actions to counter such behaviour.

A 72-year-old man was killed and 32 others were wounded after a suspected terror truck-ramming attack north of Tel Aviv. Many of the injured were senior citizens who had disembarked from the bus ahead of a day trip to a nearby museum to mark the national memorial day for those killed in the October 7 Hamas massacre and subsequent war.
