Last night, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center hosted the first-ever virtual Spirit of Hope Benefit, viewed by people across Canada and beyond. It was an incredible evening of celebration, remembrance and hope.

The event featured an immensely engaging and insightful panel discussion on the historic Abraham Accords - featuring representatives from Israel, the U.S. and Bahrain and moderated by the legendary Lesley Stahl of 60 Minutes - and a special message from the UAE ambassador to the U.S. Topics discussed included the behind-the-scenes leading up to the signing of the Abraham Accords; benefits and enduring strength of the Abraham Accords; recent developments in the Middle East, including the conflict between Israel and Hamas, and much more.

As FSWC's most important annual fundraising event, the evening program also celebrated the vital programs and achievements of FSWC. All funds raised go directly toward supporting the organization's education and advocacy programs that help combat antisemitism and hate in Canada.

This year's Spirit of Hope raised a total of almost $3.6 million!

Thank you to everyone who tuned in last night and whose dedicated support makes our critical work possible. Thank you to our event co-chairs Ron and Sharon Baruch and Derek and Daryl Erdman who were so incredibly involved in making this year's Spirit of Hope a success and to all of the guest speakers who shared important and inspiring messages with viewers.

We look forward to welcoming everyone at Spirit of Hope 2022!
