Toronto – June 29, 2018 – FSWC congratulates Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Deputy Premier Christine Elliott and the entire Cabinet on the occasion of their swearing in today at the provincial legislature. FSWC looks forward to continued bilateral cooperation in the areas of antisemitism, education, human rights, tolerance and diversity.
"In prior conversation with Doug Ford, the premier reaffirmed to me his strong stand with the Jewish community and willingness to work together to eradicate antisemitism, hate and discrimination," said Avi Benlolo, FSWC President and CEO. "Noteworthy is that several ministers in Ford's new cabinet have ties to FSWC, including Jim Wilson who travelled with me on Compassion to Action to Poland and Israel and Lisa MacLeod who has hosted the Tour for Humanity in her riding."
FSWC is pleased with the selection of Ontario's new cabinet and looks forward to working with all provincial ministers to make Ontario a better place for everyone. The organization has offered its resources to the new government, including its award-winning Tour for Humanity program which travels to schools and communities to provide human rights education.
FSWC is further willing to host ministers at its worldwide locations, the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles and soon – the Museum of Human Dignity in Jerusalem.
