Friendsof Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies Alarmed to learn BritishHolocaust Denier Allowed to Perform in Canada with Neo-Nazis

March 2, 2017 – Toronto:
Friendsof Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) is alarmed to learn a British Holocaustdenier has been permitted to enter Canada to join a speaking tour with theneo-Nazi ‘Blood and Honour’ organization, named for the slogan of the HitlerYouth Group "Blut und Ehre".

“AllCanadians across the country should be outraged and horrified that AlisonChabloz, facing trial for the promotion of antisemitism on the internet –including calling Auschwitz a “theme park” andthe gas chambers a “hoax,” is allowed to freely enter this country to spreadher vile message of hate at the invitation of her fellow white supremacists,”said FSWC President & CEO Avi Benlolo. “This news is particularly unnervingduring a week when swastikas were found at York University, and Chabloz isscheduled to speak in Calgary tonight- just days after Calgary‘s JewishCommunity Center was evacuated due to bomb threats.”

As noted Canadian human rights lawyer Richard Warman observed,"I can't see aborder guard letting Alison Chabloz in if she admitted she's a Holocaustdenier, already on trial in the UK, and coming to speak to a neo-Nazi group theRCMP describes as a violent, right-wing extremist group.  If Chabloz wasn'thonest about the reasons for entry into Canada, I urge the Ministers for PublicSafety and Immigration to ensure her swift removal."
