Toronto (January 5, 2018) - Friends of Simon WiesenthalCenter (FSWC) will be following closely the arrest of Canadian Monika Schaeferon alleged Holocaust denial-related charges in Munich, Germany yesterday as confirmed to FSWC by Germany's Bavarian State Police.

“Holocaust denial and revisionism continue to prevail across social media platforms in Canada and across the globe. Such perversion of the truth must be confronted through the use of the deterrent tools available under the law as well as through education as FSWC has dedicated its resources to," said Avi Benlolo, President and CEO of FSWC.

Online videos which formed the basis of complaints in Canada back in 2016 captured Schaefer, a former Green Party candidate, claiming thatthere were no death camps or gas chambers during the Holocaust - which she callsthe “six million lie.”
