Toronto - Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for HolocaustStudies (FSWC) condemns the revised version of an anti-Israel boycott andsanctions resolution approved by the Green Party at a special convention inCalgary this past weekend.

“The Green’s revised resolution is in practice littlechanged from the original resolution, which targets Israel alone through aseries of economic pressures, while neglecting to address the incitement to violenceand terrorism faced by Israelis every single day,” commented FSWC President& CEO Avi Benlolo.

“The complete lack of understanding of the historic and contemporary context inwhich Israel exists, and the refusal of the Greens to demonstrate clear supportfor a country listed as the world’s top innovator in green technology by theGlobal Cleantech 100 index, remains inexplicable. The perception by the Jewishcommunity of bias and discrimination will persist as long as the bias anddiscrimination against the nation-state of the Jewish people by the Green Party continues,” he added.
