Toronto (December 2, 2019) - Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) condemns the drawings of swastikas found in the snow covering numerous cars in Montreal’s Plateau area, home to a large Jewish community.

The swastikas were accompanied by drawings of the Star of David, in an apparent attempt to equate Judaism with Nazism.

“The swastika is a symbol of hatred and antisemitism and has no place in our country,” said Avi Benlolo, President and CEO of FSWC.

FSWC has reached out to Montreal Police asking for a quick and determined investigation into these incidences.
