TORONTO (September 20, 2017) - FSWC is disturbedby the report of a car parked on a residential street set on fire after beingdefaced with a swastika and "white power". FSWC reached out tothe Calgary Police Hate Crimes Officer, who confirmed that the matter is beinginvestigated as a hate crime with a number of units being called in to assist.
“We are pleased to see that the CalgaryPolice Service has taken this case very seriously and have launched a thoroughinvestigation.The incident reflects an increased level of threat. Harm to the neighboring area due to the fire was averted only due to thevigilance of the patrolling unit." said FSWC President and CEO AviBenlolo. “It is critical for community members to come forward with anyinformation they can share to assist in this ongoing investigation.”
