In partnership with JRoots, an organization providing humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians on the ground in Poland, and its Executive Director Tzvi Sperber, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) President and CEO Michael Levitt has been in Krakow, Poland over the last two days supporting JRoots’ efforts in delivering aid to newly arriving Ukrainian refugees.

FSWC’s visit has involved working with local suppliers and securing urgent provisions for refugee families, including footwear for women and children, food, medicine, backpacks with learning supplies for children and other essentials needed in Poland where more than two million Ukrainian refugees have gathered.

All of this is being funded through FSWC's Emergency Ukrainian Refugee Relief Fund, which raised more than $50,000 over the span of four days.

FSWC is also working with JRoots to secure temporary shelter for Ukrainian refugees and helping to purchase laptop computers for newly arrived Ukrainian students so they can participate in online schooling. The funds are also being used to secure essential items for those who are staying in Ukraine and are facing incredibly dire conditions.

An immense thank you to everyone who donated to FSWC's Ukrainian Refugee Relief Fund and has supported the important humanitarian efforts of JRoots. Your generosity is making a tremendous impact in the lives of both Ukrainian refugees and civilians who remain in Ukraine and are in desperate need of support.
