FSWC Investigating the Selling of Nazi Memorabilia in the GTA

TORONTO (August 10, 2017) - Canadian Friends ofSimon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) was disappointed today toobserve a vendor at an antique market in the GTA selling Nazi memorabilia. FSWCstaff visited the location, photographed and had conversation with employeesand customers.  One customer shamelessly said, “My husband admiredHitler and thought he was a great leader.”

The approximately $5,000 collection includes a deck of cardsprinted with swastikas, stamps featuring Hitler, a 1942 DerSchulungsbrief - the Nazi Party's monthly magazine for politicaleducation, Hitler Youth pins, letterhead belonging to the General Governor ofKrakow, identification cards of German workers, a Nazi flag, among many otheritems.  FSWC has lodged complaints with the owner of the market, the mayorof the city and with local police.
