TORONTO (June 21, 2017) – Criminal charges were reportedly laid today against the editor and publisher of "Your Ward News". Toronto residents – Warren and Lisa Kinsella – filed a criminal complaint against two men behind the publication after the editor is believed to have encouraged supporters to “bludgeon the Kinsellas to death.”
The publication has consistently been accused of spreading messages of hate, violence, racism and antisemitism. Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center had also filed complaints with police and with Canada Post – the entity delivering the newspaper. FSWC was granted standing before an established board review panel to oppose the lifting of the delivery ban by Canada Post. However, the paper is still being distributed across the province.
The publication regularly has images that targets and vilifies faith based groups, individuals and political leaders. FSWC continues to receive complaints from the general community.
