Toronto (January 16, 2020) - Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) notes the FBI’s arrest of a former Manitoba army reservist accused of having ties to a neo-Nazi group.

Patrik Mathews – who went missing five months ago after being suspected of recruiting for The Base, a neo-Nazi hate group, and being removed from the military – was reportedly arrested in Delaware and is facing charges of transporting a firearm and ammunition with intent to commit a felony and being an alien in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

He was charged alongside two other men who were also accused of being members of the hate group.
