Toronto (October 4, 2018) – Following its release of a commissioned research poll this summer which found antisemitism hovering at 15% on average across Canada, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) doubled down on its award-winning tolerance education programs by releasing a dramatic video to curb hate crime.

The video to be shown on all FSWC educational forums, including Tour for Humanity and in-house tolerance training workshops, is based on real-life dramatic events. Taking in FSWC's years of varying experiences with young adults, the short video highlights four teens (actors) of differing backgrounds who were involved in a hate crime. They share their painful journey from their arrest to their re-education with the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center.

In November, FSWC will be hosting a hate crimes conference that will welcome officers from numerous hate crime divisions - including from Toronto, Vancouver, the RCMP and the OPP - for in-depth discussions on best practices in handling cases involving hate crimes.
