Toronto (August 30, 2018) - Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) supports Canadian Minister of International Trade Diversification Jim Carr’s upcoming visit to Israel to discuss further developing trade and investment between the two countries.

“Over the years, Canada and Israel have developed strong economic ties that have benefited companies and consumers on both sides. With Canada continuing to recognize Israel’s strength in the areas of science, technology and innovation, this is a positive step in furthering a relationship between the two countries,” said FSWC President and CEO Avi Benlolo.

According to a statement released today by Global Affairs Canada, Minister Carr will meet with Israel’s Minister of Economy and Industry to “discuss how Canada can translate the modernized CIFTA into additional sales, partnerships and links between Canadian companies of all sizes and their counterparts in Israel.” He will also be meeting with business leaders from the transportation, clean energy, high-tech and financial sectors to discuss partnership opportunities.
