March 21, 2017 – Toronto: Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) celebratesInternational Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. This is animportant day to consider the implications of racism and bigotry in Canada andaround the world.
"Itis quite disconcerting that 72 years after the Holocaust when six millionJewish people were murdered, that antisemitism and racism in general wouldcontinue plaguing our planet. For this reason, FSWC works to promotetolerance, justice and human rights for everyone" said FSWC President andCEO, Avi Benlolo.
Today,FSWC will educate 530 school children from Ottawa to Woodbridge through ouraward winning Tour for Humanity and workshop programming. We encouragegovernment and communities at large to double their effort to counter hate anddiscrimination.
