MP Ali Ehsassi Visits the FSWC Office

TORONTO, ON(April 19, 2017)– Local Member of Parliament for Willowdale, AliEhsassi, visited the FSWC office today in Toronto to meet with Avi Benlolo,FSWC President and CEO. The productive meeting had MP Ehsassi and his assistanttour the FSWC office and sit down to discuss issues of mutual interest. MPEhsassi works diligently on issues affecting his community and is particularlyinterested in refugee issues and crises occurring around the world today.

Elected toParliament in 2015, Mr. Ehsassi currently serves as a member on the Standing Committee on Access toInformation, Privacy and Ethics and on Standing Joint Committee for theScrutiny of Regulations. He is also the Chair of theAll Party Parliamentary Committee on the Prevention of Genocide and CrimesAgainst Humanity and Co-Chair of the Toronto Liberal Caucus.

FSWC provided Mr. Ehsassi with a tour ofits Tolerance Training Centre, and informed him of the work FSWC has done,including educating over 200 students each day through workshops and the Tourfor Humanity.
