Toronto (December 18, 2017) - Friends of SimonWiesenthal Center (FSWC) is dismayed to learn that synagogues in multiplecities - including Edmonton, Hamilton, Toronto and Montreal - have receiveddisturbing and threatening antisemitic mailings. 

The unmarked letters depicted ingraphic style a swastika embedded in a yellow Jewish star dripping with bloodaccompanied by the words "Jewry Must Perish."

"The timing of theseincidents - as celebrations marking Chanukah and the ancient story of survivaldraw to a close for this year, while the Jewish community is still in shockfrom news of the violent deaths of two beloved community leaders - makes themall that more despicable," said Avi Benlolo, President and CEO ofFSWC. 

Police services have beguninvestigations. Anyone with further information should contact their localpolice departments as soon as possible.
