Toronto (February 13, 2019) - Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) condemns the antisemitic and offensive graffiti that was discovered on the door of a church in Nova Scotia.
According to the RCMP, the graffiti found on Saint-Alphonse-de-Ligouri Church in Saint Alphonse was likely done between Friday evening and Saturday morning.
“It is very shameful that people choose to target places of worship with hateful and offensive messages,” said FSWC President and CEO Avi Benlolo. “While it’s difficult to catch perpetrators in graffiti cases, hopefully the public has information that can help with the investigation.”
Police are reaching out to the public for help in identifying the perpetrators. Anyone with information is asked to call 902-645-2326.
