It's Human Rights Day, and we are celebrating at FSWC!

As it happens, this year’s theme is “Youth Standing Up for Human Rights”!

This is exactly what we do each and every day. We inspire and empower youth to have a voice to change the world in all of our programs:

  • Speakers Idol gives voice to youth on how to make the world a better place through their eyes.
  • Freedom Day brings together thousands of youth each year to learn from changemakers and Holocaust survivors.
  • Tour for Humanity educates up to 200 students each day about the importance of speaking out against hate and intolerance and how to make a positive difference in their communities.
  • Workshops on antisemitism, the Holocaust, bullying, women’s rights, online hate and other social issues allow youth to grow and learn about the world around them.

Human Rights Day is a UN-observed day marking the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights following the Holocaust.

"Today we celebrate the young people who, now more than ever, have played a fundamental role in numerous movements fighting for human rights," said FSWC president and CEO Avi Benlolo. "It's important for young people to recognize the power their voices and actions have to make a positive change and create a better world."
