TORONTO (March 7, 2018) - Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) is disappointed tolearn of racist graffiti discovered on school property in a small community in Nova Scotia.
According to police, graffiti targeting the Indigenous andBlack communities was spray painted on a school bus and nearby road sign on Monday night.
“There is no place in Canada for expressing such hate andintolerance against any community,” said FSWC President and CEO Avi Benlolo.“No student should have to witness these despicable displays of ignorance asthey head to school.”
Police are currently investigating the incident and the schoolwill be closed for the rest of the week due to reported threats against the school.
