Toronto (May 28, 2018) - Friendsof Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) is disheartened to learn of new shocking studiesthat warn of rising antisemitism.
In a report, the Union of Jewish Students inFrance held a study that found that 53 per cent of respondents surveyed believedthat Zionism is a Jewish conspiracy. Still, the study found that "54 per cent of respondents agreed thatanti-Zionism is a form of antisemitism and 59 per cent agreed with thestatement that Zionism is a 'movement of liberation and emancipation for theJewish people.'”
Equally shocking is a report issued last month by theDutch Public Prosecution Service which found that 41 per cent of all hateattacks were directed against Jews, double the number of 2016.
"It'sshocking to see antisemitism back in Europe a mere 73 years after theHolocaust – has humanity not learned its lesson?"said Avi Benlolo, president of Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center.
