TORONTO – On March 28, students from across Ontario will share their ideas on how to create positive change in the world as they compete in the Speakers Idol finals in Toronto.

Ten students from grades 6-12, including from Toronto, Hamilton, York Region and Erin, have been chosen to compete in the finalist round of Speakers Idol, an annual speech competition hosted by Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC).

The competition will include two rounds – the first featuring five students from grades 6-8 and the second featuring five students from grades 9-12 – and will include a panel of judges who will determine the best speech from each round.

This year, the students based their speeches on the Simon Wiesenthal quote, “I believe in the good in people.”
