Yesterday evening, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center hosted the annual State of the Union, welcoming more than 300 guests for an intimate dinner featuring two incredible speakers. Stuart Force and Amanda Lindhout shared their heart-wrenching and powerful stories of loss and how they used it to make a difference in the world.
Members of FSWC's board of directors also honoured Stuart and his wife Robbi for their dedication to human rights and ongoing commitment to their son Taylor's memory. By campaigning to have the Taylor Force Act passed, the US has successfully blocked millions of dollars from being delivered to the Palestinian Authority due to its funding of Palestinian terrorism.
Amanda followed with her story of survival in Somalia, where she was kidnapped and held hostage for 460 days, and a message of hope and resilience.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this important and inspirational evening.
