Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) has learned that the Edmonton Police Service is currently investigating reports of a swastika spray painted on the grass outside a mall in Edmonton.

“Spray painting a swastika is more than just committing an act of vandalism. The swastika is a symbol of hate and must be treated by police as such by investigating the graffiti as a hate crime,” said FSWC President and CEO Avi Benlolo.

FSWC reached out to EPS, which stated the incident was reported earlier today and there is little information to share at this time.
