Toronto (October 12, 2018) - Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) condemns the antisemitic graffiti recently discovered at the Winchevsky Centre in Toronto.

A photo of the graffiti taken on October 10 shows the words “Jews Beware” and a swastika drawn on the building.

“Whether it’s anti-Israel slurs like we witnessed earlier this week at a Jewish day school or anti-Jewish graffiti like in this case, there is no room for the antisemitic targeting of Jews,” said FSWC President and CEO Avi Benlolo. “The Jewish community remains strong and will never give up fighting against the antisemitism and intolerance expressed by the perpetrators of these crimes.”

Toronto Police has confirmed that an investigation is underway.
