Today, in commemoration of Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) remembers the victims of the 1915 Armenian genocide that resulted in the deaths of up to 1.5 million Armenians.
“Regardless of how much time has passed, we must never forget this horrific time in history and work to ensure future generations continue to learn from it and not allow such as tragedy to be repeated,” said FSWC President and CEO Avi Benlolo.
Through its workshops on the Tour for Humanity, FSWC continues to educate students about genocides throughout history – including the Armenian genocide – and help young people discover tools to counter hate and intolerance in their communities and around the world.
